Dawn of Titans

Sometimes, I play this ridiculous game called Adventure Capitalist, and part of the game is to earn bonuses by watching game videos/commercials. I don’t pay a lot of attention to the ads for the most part, because the games are usually shitty, or just not the type of game I enjoy. However, the other day I was watching an ad for Dawn of Titans, and it piqued my interest.

Note: I play on a large iPad Pro, not a phone, so YMMV.

For starters, the game is beautiful. I’ve tried a lot of war/combat strategy games like this, and they just don’t interest me. I’m generally not savvy enough to be patient and work my strategies carefully, and I try to swarm in and Zerg, and usually lose a lot. But the main issue is these games aren’t pretty to me. They are generally choppy and the art is subpar. This is not the case with DoT.

I think what a lot of us like about this game, is just getting to absolutely *pillage* the people we are attacking.

The game is like most others in this genre– you build your city/resources, build your armies, upgrade yer shit, then take yer shit and go kill other bitches. I will say this is a game where you want to play in a team, as it can be hard and slow going if you’re trying to play by yourself. The higher your team advances, the better rewards YOU receive, so it’s worthwhile if everyone is pulling their own weight.

As always, the usual suspects are playing, and we are currently ranked number one in our league:

There’s some room for flame wars, as rather than a world or global chat, you have the options of either guild chat, or League Chat (which is global for whatever PVP league you are a part of.)

Sometimes, we troll League Chat:

We trollin'...dey hatin'...

We trollin’…dey hatin’…

Anyhoo, this is a fairly well done mobile game. Of course, there are throttles and you have the option to buy gems in order to avoid the throttle, but the game is perfectly manageable and doable even if you don’t spend any money. It’s all in the timing of your upgrades.

Check it out, and if you want to play with us, you can find us under BiC Gaming.
